Doctor of Chiropractic
Vanessa became a chiropractor after experiencing the benefits of treatment following the birth of her children.
After qualifying at the renowned Anglo European College of Chiropractic in 2009, she practised at a busy clinic in Southampton before establishing her own practice in Shaftesbury. She believes successful treatment stems from understanding a patient's goals and working with them to help them enjoy a fuller life.
Vanessa has worked abroad in Bermuda, the Solomon Islands and Australia. She is now happily settled in Dorset. When she's not putting her patients back on the road to recovery, Vanessa is a keen sailor and member of Parkstone Yacht Club. She keeps fit by swimming, walking in the beautiful Dorset countryside and doing Pilates.

From a chiropractic background, with both parents being chiropractors, Holly has been fortunate to benefit from treatment from a young age. She qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 2019 and - after a quick stint of travelling around Central America - has been happily helping the community surrounding Shaftesbury ever since.
Since graduating, Holly has also trained in diagnostic ultrasound and uses these skills to help in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal injuries.

Holly is based in Bournemouth. In her spare time she enjoys keeping active in the outdoors, yoga, pottery, films and travel.

Doctor of Chiropractic
Maya studied contemporary dance for a year at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. During her training, she became very interested in rehabilitation and and injury prevention. This fascination with how the human body works led her to study Chiropractic at the Anglo European College of Chiropractic.
Maya is interested in treating the patient as a whole. Using techniques such as hands-on spine and extremities manipulation, manual soft-tissue massage, and dry needling, she focuses on pain reduction and increasing her patients' mobility.
During a paediatric placement at university, Maya had the rare opportunity to work with midwives and lactation consultants, which sparked her interest in both women's health and paediatrics.
Maya grew up in the island community of Guernsey, and is now settled in Bournemouth, where she takes her working cocker spaniel for walks, practises yoga, pilates, and plays tennis.

Doctor of Chiropractic
Like all our chiropractors Anya graduated from the world renowned AECC.
From an equestrian background Anya was able to observe the benefits of chiropractic on her animals from a young age. It wasn’t until experiencing episodes of back pain in her early teens that Anya thought of visiting a chiropractor herself. After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic, Anya’s interest in the profession was spiked and this became her passion going forward.
Anya graduated from the AECC university in 2024 and has since taken a postgraduate diploma with the International Academy of Veterinary Chiropractic (IAVC) to be able to treat animals.
Anya’s goal is to optimise her patients mobility and decrease pain in order to live a more comfortable and happy life while being able to do the activities they enjoy for as long as possible. Anya focusses on improving how the body functions as a whole, so they can better cope with the demands we put on them everyday.
Anya grew up in Wimborne and is happy she is able to remain close to home with her job. In her spare time, Anya enjoys horse riding, being out with her dogs, and getting creative with crafts projects at home.

Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist
Kate has been practicing Soft Tissue Therapy since 2015, after the birth of her daughter prompted a career change. Kate is also qualified in pregnancy massage.
Kate loves to spend time adventuring - in the wilds of Dorset and beyond! - with her partner, son and daughter.
"Kate's sport therapy is simply what it should be: a feedback powered exploration of your soft tissue. You feel like you've created a partnership with someone who's going to look out for your body so you can crack on with trying to achieve whatever it is you're doing in the sporting world."
"She has a way of explaining exactly what is happening with my body and how I can help reduce aches and pains. An hour on the massage table brings me an understanding of what to do, to help with my quality of life."

Massage Therapist
Jon has been providing soft tissue therapy for over 10 years. He is qualified in sports & deep tissue massage, and Emmett Technique (the latter is a gentle, non invasive, muscle release technique that can be applied through light clothes, if required). All work well together or separately & can provide relief from chronic pain, acute injuries, stress, and poor posture.
"I realise that everyone is different & that what works for one person may not have the same effect on another. With this in mind I look to tailor treatments specifically to each client. I will always work within a client's level of comfort: "No pain, no gain", does not have a place in my treatments. "Good pain" , however, can be very beneficial when using deeper techniques. That said, often light finger pressure on specific points in the correct sequence can be all that is needed to relieve someone of their pain or discomfort - this is where Emmett Technique comes into its own, often providing relief during the first session".
“I have been suffering with a back problem for years. I did not think anything could be done. My Chiropractor proved that wrong. I should have come sooner. I move so much better.”

Have you heard of the Psoas muscle? We often check the strength of this muscle as if there is any issues with it this can lead to lower back pain. If you spend a lot of time sitting down, this muscle can weaken and cause issues. Ask your chiropractor to check yours!
